This week (okay last week – I’m late with this post) the topic was ideas.
Specifically – Where did the idea for your current wip come from? How do you come up with story ideas?
The idea for my current WIP came from a dream. I fell asleep after watching the news, after dealing with my day and the idea sprouted in my dream. It started with just one phrase.
“If you look up the definition of insanity in the dictionary, you’ll see my picture.”
I hinted on this last week, with the “How I Write – What Inspires Me” post. But I get my ideas from everywhere. Sometimes from dreams, from people watching, from real life observations and tidbits (cause what is stranger than fiction but life as it happens). So I get my ideas from everywhere.
